– Lead the planning and execution of post-harvest infrastructure projects, focusing on the construction of CA storage facilities for apples and modern collection centers for vegetables and fruits.
– Collaborate closely with agricultural stakeholders, including farmers, cooperatives, and government agencies, to assess infrastructure needs and develop tailored solutions aligned with industry requirements and standards.
– Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to determine the optimal location, layout, and specifications for new infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
– Manage multi-disciplinary project teams comprising architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
– Oversee the installation and commissioning of specialized equipment and systems within post-harvest facilities, such as temperature and humidity control systems, cold storage units, sorting and grading machinery, and product handling infrastructure.
– Provided technical expertise and project management support for the establishment and upgradation of post-harvest infrastructure facilities across the state, with a focus on improving the storage and marketing of horticultural produce.
– Coordinated with horticulture department officials, local authorities, and funding agencies to identify priority areas for infrastructure development and secure necessary approvals and funding for projects.
– Conducted capacity-building workshops and training programs for farmers, extension officers, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of post-harvest management practices, quality standards, and infrastructure utilization.
